Hyena Reproduction

Female and male hyenas are dificult to distinguish, because their reproductive organs appear similar. Gestation period for spotted hyenas is 4 months. 2 to 4 cubs are born. Cubs are born almost black. They are born with open eyes. At 1 year cubs follow their mother on hunting and scavenging.
